Our Story
My artistic journey began over a decade ago, rooted in a deep fascination with how traditional crafts could speak to contemporary life. What started as weekend pottery classes evolved into a comprehensive exploration of multiple mediums, each teaching me something new about texture, form, and the boundless possibilities of creative expression.
The challenges I've faced along the way—from mastering the delicate balance of clay throwing to developing my own textile dyeing techniques—have shaped not just my art, but my approach to teaching. I believe that creativity flourishes when we embrace both success and failure as part of the learning process.
What sets my work apart is the unique focus on sustainability and repurposed, particularly in my repurposed jewelry collection. I’m inspired by the idea that discarded materials can be transformed into objects of beauty, carrying stories of their previous lives while embarking on new ones. My studio in Bedford serves as a creative hub where students and artists come together to explore these themes, learning that art is not just about creating beautiful objects, but about fostering connection and environmental consciousness.
